I'll tell you right now that I'll try very hard to keep this post at standard reading length. Most of this stuff happened during the last week of May....why didn't I post then? Because there was all this stuff going on!! xDWednesday the 27th
I got a package in the mail that pretty much made my week.
So much CLAMP goodness. *_* Especially in the artbook! Gorgeous full color pages, I know I will never get tired of looking at them! (And I'll spend so much more time trying to draw something out of that as well. xD) This package also made me super happy because I completed one of my fandom goals: Collect all volumes of Cardcaptor Sakura!
Okay so that's not all
of them, but that's all of the Master of the Clow arc! I'm uncertain about if I want to buy the first 6 volumes...I will probably buy the omnibus that Dark Horse is set to release some time in August of this year. But until then, I have enough Sakura to keep me happy for a long long time. ^^
- That night was my school's Spring Concert!! I didn't get to conduct but it was still a memorable concert just the same. I was quite sad by the end because this was my last concert at this school....but there will be many more concerts to come for me that's for sure! I'll even try to come back to this school's concerts next year if possible.Thursday the 28th
This night was the school's open house night, which we had been preparing for all week! Unlike previous years which I did demonstrations for the Science department all the time, this time I did demos for completely different subjects! My group and I gave a presentation on Early Modern English for Language Arts class (a project we did way in the beginning of the year) and my friend (whom I shall refer to as Shannon) and I played our Maaya Sakamoto duet as a music department demo! That was our first time performing the piece for an audience! (Our first should have been during the concert but our conductor wasn't able to fit us in the lineup. :/) I think it was well received...at least from the snippets of compliments I heard from people...I had to dash off to do the Language Arts presentation. Most of this night was dashing around really because no one was on schedule. ^^;; Still we were able to do most of the things we wanted to so I think it was a great night after all!
Next day was a half day of school due to the long night before. Yay!Memorial Day, Monday the 31st
My cousin (who lives all the way in England!) came to visit on this day! There's something about pure London-bred British accents that can't be beat. It puts all the best imitations to shame.
The week of Memorial Day was possibly one of the slowest school weeks of this year. The teachers weren't helping either with their finals. (For some strange reason, none of my
teachers decided to give finals! I feel very blessed.) Everyone seemed to be talking about next week, as if this week did not exist at all...Recap finished( Collapse )
So that's it for now...I'm so excited that this week has finally started!!
It's the last week of school. ;)
